The last generation of standard bus I was the "DB E2H85". The series comprised seven vehicles (1670 - 1676), which featured a methanol drive as a special feature, together with the MAN SL 200, which was acquired this year. As part of a fleet test, the cars were stationed at the depot Spandau, where a methanol filling station was also set up. Already in 1989 the trial operation ended and the buses received a diesel drive. Only in 2002, the last E2H85 was retired.
