The A-B 2004 has been sold and replaced by the A-B 2008.

For the first time, the 71 D90 series cars, delivered in 1990, feature "intelligent" electric door drives that, thanks to the electronic control, allow for a smooth closing and even sorting of the now overlapping door rubbers. The edging of the Laufgangwanne is now in contrast to the previous series with yellow instead of black rubber strips. The cars 3807-3846 are equipped above the front door with infrared sensors for traffic light control, which was tested in the early 90s on the line 92 in practice.
